3 Day Cycle Race - Battle Recharge was held July 27-29 in Murwillumbah featuring NRS and Graded Competition.
4 Stages were held making it a great test of strength, endurance and skill.
This would be Stacey's first Cycle tour and major event after suffering a broken Acetabulum late in Early 2017. It panned out to mark an extremely rewarding return to competition.

Left - Post surgery some hefty metal work which will remain in tact forever.
STAGE 1 - ROAD RACE 46KM
GC + 6Sec
4th Overall and 1st C Grade
Tyalgum / Mur'bah / Tyalgum via Chillingham
Day 1 a few nerves and some serious hills on the back end of the route. I was really proud and excited to see Stacey come in just after the men and only + 6 Sec from the leader meaning she had a great ride only getting a split on the last down hill.
STAGE 2 - ROAD RACE 46KM - REVERSE
3rd overall and 1st C Grade
GC + 33 sec
Tyalgum / Chillingham / Mur'bah / Tyalgum
Again riding with the mens C/D grade it was set for a hard ride. Being a strong climber Stacey was keen on getting through the hills first this way around the route. Mixing in with the breakaway group had her up the pointy end again.
STAGE 3 - TIME TRIAL 9KM
3rd overall and 1st C Grade -
+ 19 Sec (Road Bike)
GC +35 Sec
Although not on a TT bike this was one Stacey looked forward to quite comfortable doing TT's - From her Triathlon background and also a frequent training session. It was a foggy morning making visability hard on the narrow roads but she bit down hard and nailed in another good ride.
STAGE 4 - CRITERIUM
5th + 0
This was exciting to watch. Being her first ever Crit Stacey just focused on good positioning and doing her work on the front to make it a hard fought race. She said it was good having the Coach shout tactics from the sideline!
Overall Result - Womens B, C, D - 3rd +39
